Positive crop marks of an early medieval settlement in the cereals

A particularly nice example of how sharply positive crop marks can reflect a structure located in the ground is shown in this example from June 2014: A part of an early medieval settlement that has not yet been built over stands out due to discolouration in the winter barley. Not only are the pits and wells clearly visible, but complete house ground plans are also revealed due to their postholes (upper left corner of the picture).
